Hey there! I’m Gabby and I’m so excited you’re here!
I’m the owner and lead photographer of Supgub Photo and I’m based in Jersey City, NJ. If you’re looking for a detail oriented, energetic and super hands on photographer, I’m definitely your gal! With each and every wedding so unique and different in its own beautiful way, I pride myself on my ability and skill to make sure your photos are catered true to your special day’s feels.
How would I describe my style of shooting?
I’m a true-to-color wedding photographer who prioritizes capturing the emotional rawness of your big day. Whether that means snapping flicks of the teary eyes and runny noses to the contagious laughters to even the unmatched dance moves your Uncle Joe laid down on the dance floor, I’ll get it all! With me, you’ll get a blend of documentary, editorial, and natural candid photography. They say a photo is worth a thousand words…let’s make it infinite!

What the hell is a “SupGub?”
What an odd business name, right?
Being named Gabrielle, I’ve had many varying nicknames that ranged from: Gab, Gabby, Gabriel, Gabe, Gubby, Gooby, Goobz, and (my personal favorite) Gub. Maybe it was laziness in the greetings, but what was once “What’s up, Gub?” quickly became, “Sup, Gub?” And just like that, it trickled from the tongue so casually and easily.
A fun little catchy name that had no intimidation of approach. The simplicity and casualty of SupGub truly captured the essence of my brand. When you hire me, I’m not just your wedding photographer -- but a friend.
And yes, I thoroughly enjoy being greeted with “Sup, Gub?!”

How did I get started?
Like most passions, mine started off as a hobby when I was younger and photography came very natural to me. From being my grade school’s event photographer (yes, 5th grade, heeey) to investing my first paychecks at 16 towards camera equipment and photoshoot props, it was a hobby that opened many doors for me. The work I posted on my social media allowed me to work with some awesome companies and businesses immediately right after High School.

Why did I start SupGub Photo?
From paid photoshoots to branding photography to even being the head photo retoucher for a major event company in Central Jersey for 3+ years, it seemed inevitable to venture out on my own. Working at such an early age with the big dogs, I was able to gauge my preferences within this industry. I’ve worked with event companies, photography studios, independent photography businesses, etc. all ranging from South, Central (yes… Central Jersey exists) and North Jersey, NYC and to Philly.
I got to watch and learn the in’s and out’s of the industry. The good and the bad. I realized I wanted to do things on my terms and provide the standard of quality and values I want to represent, I wanted to get to know my clients and not just be a random photographer assigned to the most important day of your life by a one-stop powerhouse photography company. I wanted to build lasting connections that would translate in the photos I produced. I love what I do, and I wear my passion on my sleeves and I sure as hell am not willing to compromise on providing anything less.
